John McCain, you blockhead!
(yes, it has taken me this long to come to the realization that if you put a Charlie Brown zig-zag shirt on John McCain, there'd be no way to tell them apart ..... other than the 65 year age difference)
You know you've fucked up when one of your most high-profile contributors jumps your shit for your bogus attack ads. In this particular instance, Kathy Hilton has fired a shot across John McCainiac's bow for his "celebrity" ad, which asserts that Barack Obama is as empty and vapid as Britney Spears and .... drumroll ... Kathy's daughter, Paris. Kathy says:
I've been asked again and again for my response to the now infamous McCain celebrity ad. I actually have three responses. It is a complete waste of the money John McCain's contributors have donated to his campaign. It is a complete waste of the country's time and attention at the very moment when millions of people are losing their homes and their jobs. And it is a completely frivolous way to choose the next President of the United States.
But my favoite line is from a commenter (kind of like Dubya is the "Decider," one who posts a comment to a news story is a "commenter." Try and keep up here...) to the linked story, who said:
you know it's bad when the airhead wealthy trash of this country... are more high minded than the GOP candidate for president.
Actually, most of those comments to the story are hilarious. But the above-quoted remark pulled off a rare "triple bank-shot" that insulted both the Hilton women and John McCainiac at the same time. Bravo, Veritas723! Bravo!
