My conservative friend and Bush supporter said that they aren't shaking his hand because "they don't get what they want from him."

My response:
"You're right. They don't get from him the following: a president that talks about freedom and democracy and then contradicts himself by permitting the violation of the very human rights he claims to promote. The hypocrisy is nearing its end after 8 long excruciating years. Obama will not be perfect but he will hopefully restore the sincerity of our democracy."
